Carolyn Skinner

Carolyn Skinner has extensive work experience in finance and administration. Carolyn currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer at the American Society for Nutrition since 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Manager at Dembo Jones from 2016. Carolyn also held the position of Senior Manager at Dixon Hughes Goodman LLP from 2004 to 2016, where they managed the accounting services department and performed controller/CEO functions. Before that, they served as the Director of Finance & Administration at the American Society for Cell Biology from 1997 to 2004, overseeing accounting and financial activities and supervising a team. Carolyn started their career as a Manager at Kamerow, Weintraub & Swain, where they were responsible for audit engagements and client financial statements from 1990 to 1997.

Carolyn Skinner attended the University of Maryland from 1987 to 1990, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. In 2014, they obtained the Chartered Global Management Accountant certification from the AICPA. Additionally, Carolyn Skinner holds a certification as a Certified Public Accountant, which was obtained in Maryland at an unknown date.
