José Luis Irizarry, Ph.D., currently serves as a Non-Profit Graduate Certificate Advisor and Assistant Professor of Public Administration at North Carolina Central University. With extensive experience in public administration, José holds numerous leadership roles, including Chair of the Section on Democracy and Social Justice for the American Society for Public Administration (2024-2025) and Secretary for both the Teaching Section of ARNOVA and the editorial board of Public Integrity. José has also contributed to several academic institutions, teaching courses in public administration and nonprofit management, while engaged in various professional development initiatives, including serving as a reviewer for scholarly publications and participating in national conferences. José's educational background includes a Ph.D. in Public Administration from Florida Atlantic University, complemented by degrees in criminal justice and legal studies from John Jay College (CUNY).
