Annette Antos

Senior Clinical Data Registry Operations Manager, Anesthesia Quality Institute at American Society of Anesthesiologists®

Annette Antos has a wide range of work experience in the healthcare industry. Annette started their career at Midwest Heart Specialists, where they worked their way up from Clinical Coordinator to Assistant Office Manager to eventually becoming the Office Manager. In this role, they oversaw the daily operations of a high-volume cardiology practice, managed a staff of 43, and had responsibilities including budget oversight, vendor management, and facility management.

Annette then moved on to Northwest Gastroenterologists, where they served as the Supervisor of Scheduling and Insurance Verification. In this role, they managed the operations of the scheduling and insurance verification departments for a busy gastroenterology practice, overseeing a staff of seven and coordinating the anesthesia schedule for the endoscopy center.

After that, Annette joined Advocate Physician Partners as the Provider Relations Manager. Annette led the Provider Relations department, which serviced over 4,000 member physicians across 10 Physician-Hospital Organizations (PHO). Annette was involved in projects related to Accountable Care Organizations (ACO), Medicare Shared Savings Programs (MSSP), and Clinical Integration (CI). Annette also managed a team of five and was responsible for interviewing, onboarding, vacation requests, and performance reviews.

Following their time at Advocate Physician Partners, Annette joined the American Society of Anesthesiologists® as a Senior Specialist in Quality Program Reporting. In this role, they provided physician education on CMS's Physician Quality Reporting System (PQRS) through the Anesthesia Quality Institute's Qualified Clinical Data Registry (QCDR). Annette worked with physicians and practice administrators on measure selection and data capture for AQI's ftp site.

More recently, Annette took on a role as Senior Manager of Quality Programs and Data Registry Operations at the American Society of Anesthesiologists®. Annette managed the daily operations of the National Anesthesia Clinical Outcomes Registry (NACOR) and was responsible for managing quality reporting data submissions (MACRA/MIPS) for over 400 anesthesia practices. Additionally, they engaged with Registry participants and prospective subscribers, promoted and grew participation in the Registry, and planned and executed communications to various stakeholders including software/billing vendors and practice management companies.

Overall, Annette Antos has a strong background in healthcare operations, provider relations, and quality program reporting. Annette has experience managing staff, overseeing daily operations, and collaborating with various stakeholders.

Annette Antos holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Dominican University. Annette also has a Graduate Certificate in Healthcare Administration from Benedictine University. In addition to their formal education, Annette has obtained certification as a MACRA Proficient in July 2022 from the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC).
