Ashish K. Khanna MD, MS, FCCP, FCCM, FASA has an extensive work experience in the field of anesthesiology and critical care medicine. Currently, they serve as the Director of Perioperative Outcomes and Informatics Collaborative (POIC) since April 2022. Prior to this, they have held various roles at Wake Forest School of Medicine including Vice-Chair for Research, Associate Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology, Section on Critical Care Medicine, and Associate Section Head for Research. Ashish K. has also been involved in research and innovation at Wake Forest University, where they are a Faculty Member at the Center for Biomedical Informatics.

Dr. Khanna has actively contributed to professional organizations such as the Society of Critical Care Medicine, where they have served in multiple leadership roles including Member of the Program Planning Committee, Chair of the Postgraduate and Fellowship Education Committee, and Vice Chair of the Critical Care Medicine Committee. Ashish K. is also associated with the American Society of Anesthesiologists®, where they have been a Member of various committees such as the Committee on Respiration and the Committee on Young Physicians.

Ashish K. Khanna MD, MS, FCCP, FCCM, FASA has an extensive education history. Ashish K. obtained their Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from Government Medical College and Hospital, Chandigarh, India, from 1998 to 2004. Prior to that, they completed their Pre-Medicine studies at DAV College from 1995 to 1997. Ashish K. received their Doctorate in Medicine from Government Medical College and Hospital in 2008, specializing in Anesthesiology through the Anesthesiology Residency Program.

Dr. Khanna continued their medical education at Cleveland Clinic, where they completed a Residency in Anesthesiology from 2010 to 2014. Ashish K. then pursued a Fellowship in Critical Care Medicine from 2014 to 2015 at Cleveland Clinic.

In addition to their extensive education, Dr. Khanna has obtained various certifications. Ashish K. is certified in Critical Care Medicine by the American Board of Anesthesiology, which they obtained in July 2015. Ashish K. is also certified in Anesthesiology by the same board, which they obtained in April 2015. Furthermore, Dr. Khanna holds a certification in perioperative echocardiography from the National Board of Echocardiography.
