Sahar Bedrood is a Glaucoma and Cataract Surgeon at Advanced Vision Care since April 2022, with additional involvement as a member of the Glaucoma Clinical Committee for the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS) and as a Board Member of Women in Ophthalmology. With a clinical academic position as a Clinical Professor at the USC Roski Eye Institute since March 2018, Bedrood previously served as an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the same institution from 2016 to 2018. Leadership experience includes serving as President of the Los Angeles Society of Ophthalmology (LASO) in 2023. Bedrood completed a fellowship in Glaucoma at the Wilmer Eye Institute, Johns Hopkins Medicine, and has a comprehensive educational background, holding an MD/PhD in Medicine and a PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California and a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry with a minor in English Literature from UCLA.
