Allison Miller

Allison Miller has over 18 years of work experience, with their most recent role being the Director of Public Affairs and Advocacy Communications at the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) since 2023. Prior to this, they worked for the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) for 15 years, where they held various roles including Director of Media Advocacy, Associate Director of Media Advocacy, and Government Relations Director for the state of Wisconsin. Before that, they worked as a Media Advocacy Coordinator at the American Cancer Society in Wisconsin and South Dakota. Allison also has experience in broadcasting, having worked as a Reporter/Producer at UNC-TV and an Anchor/Reporter at WEAU TV 13. Allison's roles have involved developing and executing media and communications strategies, leading teams, generating news coverage, and advocating for public policy priorities.

Allison Miller obtained a Certification in Strategic Communications from The George Washington University in 2021. Allison also received a Certification in Crisis Communications from the Public Relations Society of America in 2019. Their Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism & Political Science was earned from the University of Minnesota, and they completed coursework at the La Follette School of Public Affairs at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In addition, they hold an additional certification in Strategic Communications from the Columbian College of Arts and Sciences at the George Washington University.
