Tawana Thomas-Purvis

Tawana Thomas-Purvis, MS, is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in data science and configuration management. Currently serving as Senior Manager of Data Product Engineering at the American Society of Clinical Oncology since May 2017, Tawana leads a diverse team focused on enhancing the digital experience through data insights. Previous roles include Configuration and Release Manager at AL-TEK, and Configuration Management Manager at CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield, where management of teams and adherence to ITIL and CMMI standards were key responsibilities. Tawana began a career in technology as a Service Desk Engineer and has acquired a Master of Science in Data Analytics from the University of Maryland Global Campus, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Digital Communication and Media/Multimedia.
