Majd Makhoul

Majd Makhoul is a highly experienced medical professional currently serving as the Medical Director of Cardiac Imaging at Atrium Health Levine Children's since July 2023. In addition to this role, Makhoul holds the position of Clinical Associate Professor at Wake Forest University School of Medicine and works as a Pediatric Cardiologist at Atrium Health. Makhoul is also the Associate Editor of the CASE journal for The American Society of Echocardiography. Previously, Makhoul directed the Fetal Cardiac Program at UK HealthCare and served as an Associate Professor at the University of Kentucky. Early in the career, Makhoul completed a fellowship at Emory University and held positions as Chief Resident and Pediatric Resident at The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Makhoul began medical training at the American University of Beirut, earning a Doctor of Medicine degree.
