Ritu Thamman M.D. Fase Facc

Ritu Thamman MD FASE FACC is a distinguished cardiologist and academic with an extensive background in medicine and leadership roles in various professional organizations. Currently serving on the American Heart Association Telehealth Provider Certification Workgroup and as Social Media Editor for both Circulation Quality Outcomes and the Journal of the American Society of Echocardiography, Ritu Thamman also holds a position on the Women in Cardiology Leadership Council at the American College of Cardiology and founded its Pennsylvania chapter. An Assistant Professor of Medicine and member of the Medical Humanities Faculty at the University of Pittsburgh, Ritu Thamman is involved in writing, teaching, and speaking engagements. Additional contributions include serving as Development Co-Chair at The Ellis School and as a board member at Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens. Ritu Thamman completed medical education at Northwestern University - The Feinberg School of Medicine, where an MD was earned, following an undergraduate degree in the Honors program in Medical Education at Northwestern University.
