Gottumukkala Raju's work experience includes various roles in well-known organizations in the medical field. Gottumukkala is currently a Section Editor for Gastroenterology Curbside Consults and Gastro Grand Rounds at the American Gastroenterological Association. Previously, they held the position of John Stroehlein Distinguished Professor and Director of Endoscopy at the MD Anderson Cancer Center. Raju has also contributed to the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE) as the Editor-in-Chief Emeritus, Editor In Chief, and Co-Editor, among other roles. Gottumukkala served as the Chair of the World Endoscopy Organization Webinar Committee at the World Endoscopy Organization. Additionally, Raju has been involved in academia as Chairman of the Advisory Board for Endoscopy Tech Training Program Development at Houston Community College, an Associate Professor at The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, and an Assistant Professor at the University of Kansas Medical Center.
