Alison Beale

Alison Beale is an experienced publications specialist currently serving at the American Society of Hematology since July 2023. Prior to this role, Alison held several positions at the American College of Cardiology from December 2013 to March 2023, including Editorial Coordinator/Publishing Associate and Research and Publications Associate, where responsibilities included managing manuscripts, copy editing, and providing editorial support. Alison's experience also encompasses project management for Clinical Practice Guidelines and contributions to the development of the DSM-5 at the American Psychiatric Association from June 2010 to December 2013. Alison began a career as a Program Assistant at the U.S. Department of Labor, focusing on the review and editing of federal assistance memoranda. Alison earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Virginia Tech in 2009.
