Jarmila Zapata

Jarmila Zapata, PMP, currently serves as the Director of Membership at the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) since May 2021. Prior experience includes roles at the National Association of Foreign-Trade Zones (NAFTZ) from January 2015 to May 2021, where Jarmila held positions such as Director of Communications & Member Services and Senior Manager of Communications & Member Services, leading initiatives like a website redesign and enhancing social media marketing to boost member engagement. Previously, Jarmila worked at ASAE: The Center for Association Leadership, contributing to the development of the first virtual career fair and managing significant budgets. Additional experience includes marketing roles at NAFSA: Association of International Educators and NRECA, focusing on communications and marketing strategies. Jarmila holds a Master of Arts in International Commerce & Public Policy from George Mason University and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Providence College.
