Suzanne Watnick

Suzanne Watnick currently serves as the inaugural ASN Health Policy Scholar in Residence for the American Society of Nephrology, advocating for improvements in kidney care and collaborating with key national stakeholders. Additionally, Watnick is a member of the Board of Trustees for the American Board of Internal Medicine and works as a nephrologist at the VA Puget Sound Health Care System Seattle Division. Watnick holds a professorship in medicine at the University of Washington and previously served as Chief Medical Officer at Northwest Kidney Centers, overseeing medical and clinical operations while focusing on quality of life for individuals with kidney disease. Prior experience includes roles such as Academic Nephrologist at OHSU and Portland VA Medical Center, and clinical fellowships in nephrology at both Yale University and University of California, San Francisco. Watnick earned a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Harvard University and completed medical education at UMass Chan Medical School.
