American Society of Neuroradiology
The American Society of Neuroradiology (ASNR) is an organization of more than 5,600 neuroradiologists and related professionals, founded in 1962, dedicated to maximizing the benefits of neuroradiology to patients and other providers by promoting the highest standards for training and practice, and fostering research in the field. ASNR members interpret MR, CT, PET and other imaging studies of the brain, head & neck, spine and peripheral nerves, as well as perform interventional neuroradiology procedures. Among the many diseases/conditions that neuroradiology addresses are stroke, Alzheimers, concussion/traumatic brain injury (TBI), multiple sclerosis, tumors/cancers, aneurysms, headache, hearing loss, spinal pain, and trauma. ASNR holds an Annual Meeting with presentations on new research, educational sessions, and various educational and commercial exhibits. ASNR publishes the American Journal of Neuroradiology (AJNR), the leading neuroradiology peer-reviewed research journal. The Society's educational journal, Neurographics, is available free online and offers continuing medical education credit. The Society also offer online education through its eCME lectures. Its health policy team advocates on behalf of neuroradiology practitioners and patients. The Foundation of the ASNR is a 501c3 charitable organization, which funds research and education into neuroradiology.
