Steve Ungar has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Steve is currently working as the Vice President of Product Management - Planning and Optimization Products at American Software, Inc. since January 2023. Previously, they served as the VP Product Innovation at the same company from January 2020 to December 2022, where they oversaw the Product Innovation team and was responsible for demand planning and market assessment.
Before joining American Software, Inc., Steve held various roles at Halo - The Supply Chain Intelligence Company from 2013 to 2020. Steve started as the Director of Professional Services from March 2013 to December 2015 and later became the Vice President of Professional Services and Customer Success from January 2016 to January 2020. In these roles, they were responsible for directing Product Management, Professional Services, and creating product roadmaps.
Prior to their tenure at Halo, Steve worked as the Director of Product Management and Development at Tradiance from 2008 to 2013. There, they oversaw software Product Management, Development, Marketing, and Support.
Steve also has experience at QUALCOMM, where they served as the Director of Program Management from April 2007 to August 2008. At Claritas, they held multiple roles, including AVP Product Management from 2003 to 2007 and Assistant VP, Custom Application Development from 1998 to 2002. Steve also worked as a Client Service Manager/Account Manager at Claritas from 1996 to 1998.
Earlier in their career, Steve worked at National Decision Systems as the Director, Applications Consulting in 1998, at Strategic Mapping as a Custom Application Consultant from 1995 to 1996, and at DMIS as a Demographic System Developer from 1990 to 1995.
Steve Ungar attended Stamford High from 1982 to 1986. Steve then went on to study Computer Science at Washington University in St. Louis from 1986 to 1990, earning their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in that field.
