Rich Stromberg serves as Vice-Chair of the PV Technical Division at the American Solar Energy Society since December 2022, providing technical resources for photovoltaic users and researchers. As a board member at Coldharbour Institute since August 2019, and a doctoral student and adjunct research professor at the University of Alaska Fairbanks since June 2017, Rich focuses on energy efficiency and renewable energy in Arctic regions. Additionally, an adjunct lecturer and graduate advisor at Western Colorado University, Rich champions social equity and environmental justice. As a co-founder of Equitable Solar Solutions since January 2019, efforts are directed towards making clean energy accessible to all communities. Prior experience includes roles as sustainability intern at Crested Butte Mountain Resort, program manager at Alaska Energy Authority, and engineer at Intel Corporation, among others. Rich holds a Master's in Environmental Management from Western Colorado University and degrees in Journalism and Mathematical Sciences from the University of Alaska Anchorage and The University of Texas at Dallas, respectively.
