Marla Peters, CPCU, ARM, CPL has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades in the insurance industry. Marla began their career at American Specialty Insurance & Risk Services in 1995, where they worked as Senior VP, Client Services for 20 years. In 2015, they joined Specialty Insurance Group as Director of Underwriting. Marla then transitioned to Brain Balance in 2016, where they served as Director, contributing to business enhancement and customer engagement. Concurrently, they also served on the Board of Directors for Our Turn to Serve, a division of Indiana Canine Assistant Network. Marla's most recent role was as Executive Vice President & Chief Underwriting Officer at American Specialty Insurance & Risk Services, where they played a crucial role in overseeing underwriting operations. Overall, Marla Peters brings extensive knowledge and expertise in underwriting, program development, and leadership across various organizations in the insurance industry.

Marla Peters, CPCU, ARM, CPL, received their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Economics and English from Williams College from 1991 to 1995. In terms of additional certifications, Marla obtained their Indiana Property and Casualty Insurance License from the Indiana Department of Insurance in November 1996. Marla later earned their Indiana Life, Accident and Health Insurance License from the same institution in January 1999. Moving forward, Marla achieved the Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation from the Insurance Institute of America in June 2001. A few years later, in June 2012, they obtained the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) credential from The American Institute for Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters. Lastly, Marla completed the Certified Programs Leader (CPL) certification program offered by the Target Markets Program Administrators Association (TMPAA) in October 2021. Marla plans to pursue a Product Management Certificate from Cornell University, with an expected completion date in October 2022.
