Ashley Hemmy has a diverse work experience with a strong focus on education and nonprofit organizations. Ashley began their career as a reporter and editorial intern in various publications before transitioning into the education sector. Ashley worked as a Fifth Grade Teacher in both Jefferson Parish Public School System and Chesterfield County Public Schools, where they demonstrated strong leadership skills as a team leader. Ashley also gained experience in program engagement and curriculum development as a Senior Programs & Curriculum Specialist and later as a Manager of Program Engagement. In their most recent position as the Director of Corporate Social Responsibility at American Student Assistance, they led the CSR team and oversaw the philanthropy portfolio, including grantee engagement, budget management, and event planning.
