George Sherwood is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in customer support for system acquisition, development, and deployment within AMERICAN SYSTEMS since July 2008, currently serving as a Senior Engineer. Prior to this role, George led development efforts at Source Mage GNU/Linux from 2003 to May 2012. George's experience also includes a distinguished career in the U.S. Navy from May 1984 to September 2008, where George held the rank of Commander and served as a United States Naval Attaché in Baku, Azerbaijan, along with being a P-3C Mission Commander, Patrol Plane Commander, and Instructor Pilot. George earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from The University of Kansas between 1980 and 1984.
