John Ruehe, P.E. has extensive work experience in various roles, primarily in business consulting and program management. John is currently working for American Technology Solutions International Corp. (ATSI) and the Navy SBIR/STTR Transition Program (Navy STP) as a Business Consultant, providing mentorship and support to small high-tech firms. Prior to this, they were self-employed as a Consultant from 2017 to 2020.
From 2014 to 2017, John worked at National Capitol Contracting, LLC as the Director of Audiovisual Technology Solutions (AVTS), where they led a team in delivering cutting-edge technology solutions to clients in the Federal government and civilian market. Before joining Phacil, Inc, John worked at BRTRC from 1998 to 2007, where they held the position of Associate Vice President and Program Manager. John managed support for the Army and DoD Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Program, Chemical Biological Defense SBIR Program, and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) Program. John also served in the US Army as a Corps of Engineers Officer from 1977 to 1998, gaining leadership experience through commanding engineer units and serving as a staff officer at various levels.
John Ruehe, P.E. has a strong educational background in civil engineering. John started their education in 1972 at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Civil Engineering. John completed this program in 1977. After gaining their undergraduate education, they furthered their studies at the University of Florida from 1986 to 1987. During this time, they obtained a Master of Science in Civil Engineering (MSCE) degree.
