Associate Director Of Education Programs And Accreditation at American Thoracic Society

Suzette Machado has a strong background in accreditation and education programs. Suzette is currently serving as the Associate Director of Education Programs and Accreditation at the American Thoracic Society, where they oversee compliance with CME guidelines and acts as an expert on accreditation processes. Prior to this role, Suzette worked at the NYU Grossman School of Medicine for several years, starting as a Project Associate and eventually becoming the Senior Accreditation Coordinator. During their time at NYU, they achieved Accreditations with Commendation for the school's CME activities and managed the certification process. Additionally, they played a key role in evaluating applications and training new coordinators on CME policies and procedures.

Suzette Machado has a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree in Urban Policy & Management from American University, which they obtained from 1999 to 2001. Prior to that, they completed their undergraduate education at Boston University from 1992 to 1996, earning a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in International Relations. Suzette'shigh school education was completed at Brooklyn Technical High School, where they obtained their high school diploma from 1988 to 1992. In addition, Suzette Machado holds a certification as a Certified Healthcare CPD Professional, which they obtained from the Alliance for Continuing Education in the Health Professions in March 2016.
