Neomal Abeysekera

Neomal Abeysekera has a strong background in compliance and operations. Neomal is the current Chief Compliance Officer for ERISA and BSA/AML at American Trust since November 2018. Prior to this role, Neomal served as a Compliance Officer at First Mercantile from November 2012 to November 2018. Neomal also held the position of Process Improvement Manager from June 2006 to November 2012, where they focused on compliance with Dept. Of Labor regulations and served as project manager for coordinating compliance with Fee Disclosure regulations. Neomal's earlier experience includes roles as Fund Operations Supervisor and Retirement Plan Consultant, where they oversaw plan administration, reporting, compliance testing, and overall compliance for retirement plans.

Neomal Abeysekera's education history includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Christian Brothers University and a Master of Business Administration degree in Accounting from The University of Memphis. Additionally, Neomal has obtained a certification as a Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA) from the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries.
