Grace Baer is currently an intern in the SEC Scholars Program within the Office of Rulemaking at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, starting in January 2024. Baer is also serving as a Note and Comment Editor and Junior Staffer for the American University Business Law Review since August 2022. Previous experiences include working as a Summer Associate at Ropes & Gray LLP, a Student Attorney at the AUWCL Community Economic and Equity Development Law Clinic, and a Contracts Dean's Fellow. Early career roles involved serving as a Legal Intern at The Chefs' Warehouse, a Paralegal at Spertus, Landes & Umhofer, LLP, and a Research Assistant at UCLA’s Center for Middle East Development. Baer obtained a Doctor of Law degree from American University Washington College of Law and a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and French Studies from UCLA.
