Abdellatif Qamhaieh, PhD, currently serves as an Associate Professor of Architecture and Urbanism at the American University in Dubai since September 2018. Prior to this role, Qamhaieh was the Academic Director (Assistant Provost) at Khawarizmi International College for a brief period in early 2018. From 2010 to early 2018, Qamhaieh held the position of Chair and Assistant Professor in Urban and Regional Planning at Alhosn University, UAE. Earlier experience includes serving as a Post Doctoral Associate at the Shimberg Center for Housing Studies at the University of Florida, focusing on affordable housing and related research, as well as roles as an Urban Planner and Architect at various organizations, including the University of Florida and PECDAR. Qamhaieh earned a PhD and a Master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Florida and holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from An-Najah National University in Palestine.
