Patrick O'Connell

Patrick O'Connell currently serves as the Associate Vice President for Advancement at the American University of Beirut since 2018. In addition, O'Connell has been an Adjunct Faculty member at Columbia University since January 2012, teaching courses on Foundations of Fund Raising and Development. O'Connell has held prominent positions in various institutions, including Director of Individual and Principal Giving at the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra from 2017 to 2018, Head of Development at the University of Oxford for Mathematical, Physical and Life Sciences from 2014 to 2016, and Senior Major Gifts Officer at WNET (PBS) from 2010 to 2013. O'Connell's extensive experience at Columbia University spans from 2002 to 2010 in various roles, including Major Gifts Officer and Associate Director. O'Connell holds an M.P.A. in Management and Finance from Columbia | SIPA, a Master's in Non-Profit Management from Columbia University, a Certificate in Education from the University of Oxford, and a B.S. in Business Administration from Washington and Lee University.
