Thomas Haschka is an Associate Researcher at the American University of Beirut, focusing on teaching and research in Data Science as part of the Artificial Intelligence / Data-Science and Computing HUB since August 2023. Previously, Thomas served as a Scientific Researcher at the Institut du Cerveau – Paris Brain Institute, investigating X-linked adrenoleukodystrophy using bioinformatics, and at Institut Pasteur, where mathematical modeling of COVID-19 variants was conducted. Experience also includes research and lecturing at the Museum national d'Histoire naturelle, founding an open-source project on cellulose fabrics at Xylinum Fabrics, and independent data science work at Data Cameel. Thomas's expertise encompasses data analytics, machine learning, and cloud computing, bolstered by academic credentials including a Ph.D. in Molecular Biophysics from Université de Reims Champagne-Ardenne and extensive collaboration with various organizations.
