Walid Katergi

Walid Katergi, CFRE, has significant experience in fundraising and engineering, currently serving as Associate Vice President for Development at the American University of Beirut since February 2003. In this role, Walid Katergi is responsible for fundraising efforts for the Faculty of Medicine and the Medical Center. Prior to this position, Walid Katergi held various roles at the same institution, including Senior Director of Development - Medicine and Director of Development - Medicine. Before joining the American University of Beirut, Walid Katergi worked as Business Unit Manager - OR1 at Karl Storz Endoskope, overseeing marketing, sales, and installation of advanced operating rooms across the Middle East and North Africa. Walid Katergi began a career in engineering at Stone & Webster Engineering Corporation and holds both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin.
