Zarylbek Kudabaev

Zarylbek Kudabaev serves as the Head of the Economics Department at the American University of Central Asia (AUCA) since August 2019 and has been a Professor within the same department since January 2006. Kudabaev has a notable background as a Visiting Research Scholar at the Life Sciences University of Norway and The University of Georgia. Previous leadership roles include Chairman of the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan, where significant reforms were implemented to modernize the national statistics system, and Head of the Department on Free Economic Zones at the Government of Kyrgyzstan, leading to the establishment of the successful Bishkek Free Economic Zone. Academic credentials include a Doctorate in Economic Sciences and a Ph.D. in Physics, alongside extensive teaching experience across various institutions, including the Kyrgyz Technical University.
