Jeremy Schatten has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of information technology. Jeremy started their career as an IT Intern at Time Inc. in 2010 and continued to work there in 2011. During this time, they gained experience in SQL databases, Apache HTTP Server, Apache Tomcat, and wrote BASH scripts for automation.

In 2010, Jeremy was also a Lead Student Computer Technician at Goucher College. Jeremy repaired laptops, solved user problems, managed servers, and supervised a team of 5 students. Jeremy held this position until 2014 when they joined Stevenson University as a Systems/Storage Administrator. At Stevenson, they maintained three Storage Area Networks (SANs), managed SharePoint integration with Colleague ERP, and developed PowerShell scripts to enhance security and efficiency.

Starting in 2015, Jeremy worked as a Lead Specialist Writer in Information Technology at SSLTrust, focusing on IT-related content creation.

Currently, Jeremy is working at American University, where they initially served as a SAN System Administrator in 2020. Jeremy then progressed to become an Associate Director of Identity and Storage Services, responsible for IAM system and storage infrastructure. In 2023, they took on the role of Director of Identity & Data Management Services, expanding their responsibilities to include Enterprise Reporting Management and Enterprise Storage.
