Robin Adams

Robin Adams is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in diversity, inclusion, and community engagement within higher education and non-profit sectors. Currently serving as the Director of the Center for Diversity & Inclusion at American University since March 2021, Robin has previously held roles such as Director of Educational Programs & Training and DC Reads Director. In these positions, Robin has developed and implemented training programs and managed youth literacy initiatives that significantly impact underserved communities in Washington, DC. Robin's earlier career includes roles as a Career Development Specialist Consultant at Maximus and a Partnership Specialist at the US Department of Commerce. Educational qualifications include a Master of Organization Development from American University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Education from Howard University.
