Roshan Abraham

Roshan Abraham is an academic professional with extensive experience in higher education. Currently serving as a First-Year Advisor and AUx Instructor at American University since August 2017, Roshan provides holistic academic support to approximately 80 incoming students. Previously, Roshan held the position of Scholar-in-Residence in the Department of Philosophy and Religion at George Mason University and taught various undergraduate courses as an Adjunct Professor of Religious Studies and Theology at institutions including Georgetown University. Roshan's earlier academic career included serving as an Assistant Professor of Classics and Religious Studies at Washington University in St. Louis, where responsibilities included advising students, mentoring research fellows, and organizing academic events. Roshan holds a PhD and MA in Classical Studies from the University of Pennsylvania and a bachelor's degree in English Literature and Classical Languages from The University of Kansas.
