Paula Parker has a strong background in the veterinary field. From 2015 to 2020, they worked at The Australian Veterinary Association, starting as a Director and later becoming the President. In 2020, they joined AVMA (American Veterinary Medical Association) as an Assistant Director. In July 2022, they were promoted to the role of Chief of Professional Relationships and Strategic Initiatives.

Additionally, they obtained a certification in Emergency and Critical Care from the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists in the same year. Paula also acquired a certification in Governance from the Australian Institute of Company Directors in 2017.
