Adam Carpenter

Adam Carpenter is an experienced professional specializing in energy and environmental policy. Since November 2011, Adam has served as the Manager of Energy and Environmental Policy at the American Water Works Association, collaborating with water utility leaders and federal regulators to advocate for clean and affordable drinking water across the United States. Prior to this role, Adam was an Environmental Researcher at Battelle Memorial Institute, providing data analysis and report writing for various environmental projects, and an Environmental Scientist at BeakerTree Corporation, where Adam reviewed pesticide registration documents. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Environmental Science and Public Policy from George Mason University, a Master’s Degree in Environmental Sciences and Policy from Johns Hopkins University, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from The George Washington University. Currently, Adam is pursuing a Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management at George Mason University.
