Jeff Norman is the current director at the American Wind Energy Association. Jeff has also held positions at TotalEnergies and Aramco. At TotalEnergies, they led the development and investment into utility scale renewable energy projects with 800 MWp entering into operation in 2022. At Aramco, they led the negotiation and structuring of complex agreements for power generation and hydrogen projects with a combined value exceeding $2 Billion. Jeff also negotiated power purchase and power interconnection agreements for strategic projects which exceeded 2 GW.
Before their work in the energy sector, Jeff Norman was the director/senior economic advisor at Core Focus Group. There, they led the development of strategies for power (solar, wind, gas) and industrial investments in emerging markets by bridging the gap between international investors and foreign/local governments. This work included financial modeling and forecasting, value chain analysis, licensing and permitting, and investment facilitation. Project locations include West Africa, Southwest Asia and the Middle East.
Jeff Norman has an MBA from the University of Michigan - Stephen M. Ross School of Business, and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Jeff also has a certification from the Association of Energy Engineers as a Certified Energy Manager, and a certification from the Project Management Institute, Washington DC Chapter, Inc as a Project Management Professional (PMP).
