Established in 2006, Americares India Foundation (AIF) is a registered charitable trust working to ensure people and communities across India can access healthcare during disasters and in everyday life.

AIF delivers innovative, scalable health programs across three core pillars: Humanitarian Programs, Medicine Security, and Health Services.

The Humanitarian Programs focus on emergency response, providing essential health services, medicines, hygiene and shelter kits, and supporting long-term rebuilding of healthcare infrastructure in affected regions. Through its Health Services initiatives, AIF strengthens last-mile healthcare delivery by:
•	Operating 14 mobile health vans delivering over 300,000 consultations annually 
•	Implementing school health programs across 300+ schools, reaching 70,000+ students with health education, WASH improvements, and screening services 
•	Addressing non-communicable diseases such as diabetes and hypertension through community-based interventions and behavior change communication 
•	Strengthening public health systems and antimicrobial stewardship (AMS) to improve quality of care 
AIF’s Health Systems Strengthening program supports over 300 primary health centers under the Government of India’s Ayushman Bharat initiative, reaching more than nine million people. Its AMS program spans all 41 public health facilities in Goa.

With a presence across 23 states through its Humanitarian Programs and 12 states via Health Services, AIF has directly impacted over 370,000 people and indirectly reached more than 500,000 individuals in 2024–25 alone.
