Michael W. Cropp

Michael W. Cropp is the current director at America’s Health Insurance Plans. Michael has extensive experience in the medical field, having served as medical director and COO of Gates Circle and associate medical director for quality and primary care at HealthPartners. At HealthPartners, they were responsible for more than 150 primary care physicians and led the clinical initiatives that removed 20% of costs from the system over two years. Michael also developed the clinic specific indicator report and Best Practice learning forum for clinic leaders, which resulted in a new foundation for clinical improvement. In addition, they led the process to develop the RFP for vendor selection and implementation planning for Electronic Medical Record, which resulted in one of the first installations of EPIC. Furthermore, they developed the Hospitalist program that reduced hospital utilization by 30%. Michael W. Cropp’s experience and accomplishments in the medical field make him a valuable asset to America’s Health Insurance Plans.

After completing their MBA at the University at Buffalo, Michael W. Cropp pursued a career in medicine, earning their MD and BA from Brown University.
