Vanessa Johnson

Vanessa Johnson has extensive work experience in the healthcare industry. Vanessa is currently the Enterprise Vice President of Utilization Management Clinical Operations at AmeriHealth Caritas. Prior to this role, they served as the Vice President of Medical management at Sunflower Health Plan from 2018 to 2020. From 2016 to 2018, Vanessa held the position of Senior Vice President of Health Care Services at Independent Health. Vanessa also worked as the Director of Government Business at Amerigroup Kansas/Anthem from 2015 to 2016. In addition, they have experience as a Manager of Case Management-LTSS Medicaid Population at UnitedHealth Group from 2012 to 2015 and as the Director of Health Services at Coventry Health Care from 2011 to 2012. Vanessa began their career at Kansas Health Solutions, LLC, where they served as the Director of Provider Network, Business Development, Project Management, Credentialing, and Education from 2007 to 2012.

Vanessa Johnson obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Baker University in 1996. Vanessa later pursued a Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Marketing from Friends University, which they completed in 2009.
