Chap Bennett

Chap Bennett has a strong background in banking and finance, with over 18 years of experience in various roles. Chap started their career at The Coastal Bank in 2001, where they held positions such as Effingham County President, Senior Credit Officer, and Executive Vice President specializing in mortgage banking, structured finance, and construction lending. In 2014, they joined Ameris Bank as a Senior Vice President and Division President focusing on construction. Throughout their career, Chap has demonstrated expertise in leadership, credit management, and retail banking.

Chap Bennett earned a BBA in Finance from Parker College of Business at Georgia Southern University between 1988 and 2002. In 1996-1998 they also attended the University of Georgia-Terry College of Business.
