David Boggs

David Boggs serves as the Executive Vice President and General Auditor at Ameris Bank, a position held since February 2018. Prior to this role, David accumulated extensive experience at First Citizens Bank, where responsibilities included managing the Enterprise Data Management program, overseeing Central Loan Operations for over 130 associates, and administering Loss Share Operations for multiple acquisitions. Earlier in David's career, audit roles included serving as the VP of Internal Audit at First Citizens Bank and working at Hughes Pittman & Gupton LLP and KPMG, where engagement in planning and supervising audit assignments was a primary focus. David holds a Master of Science in Accounting from the University of North Carolina Wilmington and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the same institution.
