John Taylor

John Taylor, EIT, is a Project Engineer at Ames Construction, specializing in the modeling and design of formwork for cast-in-place structures using AutoCAD and Tekla Structures. With experience dating back to his internship as a Field Engineer Survey Intern at Ames Construction, where skills in creating 3D models for GPS equipment were developed, and a prior role as a Design Engineer Intern at Vulcraft Verco, John has a solid foundation in both field and design aspects of civil engineering. Additionally, John served as a Supervisor at Iowa State University’s Seasons Dining Center and participated in a field internship with Woodruff Construction, further enhancing practical knowledge within the industry. John earned a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Iowa State University in 2020.
