Mario Jacques has extensive experience in application engineering, particularly within surface inspection systems in the metal and paper industries. Currently, Mario serves as a Senior Application Engineer at AMETEK Surface Vision since July 2015, where responsibilities include application work for the SmartView inspection system following the acquisition of Cognex's Surface Inspection division. Previously, Mario held a similar title at Cognex Corporation from January 2003 to July 2015, and worked at Honeywell from October 1996 to January 2003, focusing on surface inspection for the paper industry. Earlier career positions include Process Engineer at ABB, serving key roles in the paper sector, and Shift Electrician at Waterville TG Inc., maintaining and troubleshooting manufacturing equipment. Mario earned a degree as a Techicien Electrodynamique from Cegep De Sherbrooke.
