Matthew Talboys

Matthew Talboys is an experienced professional in technology operations and engineering, currently serving as Technology Operations Manager and previously as Engineering Team Lead at Amey since July 2019. Prior to this, Matthew held the position of Lead Engineer at Balfour Beatty plc from January 2018 to April 2022, and worked as a Project Engineer at Dynniq UK and Ireland from June 2014 to January 2018, where responsibilities included project planning, budget management, and liaison with customers. Earlier experience includes serving as Area Engineer at PeekMouchel, focused on maintenance and fault rectification for the Highways Agency, and as Highways Telecommunications Engineer at telent, dealing with the maintenance of highways equipment. Matthew's career began in the British Army as a Systems Engineering Technician, where training and experience were acquired in communications equipment maintenance during deployments in Germany and Iraq. Educational qualifications include a Modern Apprenticeship in Telecommunications from the British Armed Forces and training at the Royal School of Signals.
