Jean-Christian de Rivaz has over 20 years of experience in the engineering industry. Jean-Christian began their career in 1992 as a Hardware Designer at D2 Electronique, where they were responsible for designing and developing customized hardware systems, manufacturing and installing hardware systems, and designing and developing software to control hardware systems in real time. In 1997, they became R&D Manager and Customized Projects Engineer at Lightning Instrumentation S.A., where they built and developed the software/hardware development team and processes, managed customized projects, and provided customers with technical expertise and necessary training. From 2002-2005, they worked as a Custom Project Manager at Apliware S.A., where they continued the R&D activity of Lightning Instrumentation S.A. and managed and rebuilt the R&D and Production tools on Apliware S. From 2005-2007, they were a Project Manager at AIT/HEIG-VD/CeTT/MIS-SE, where they managed projects for internal use and external contracts, put in place a new structure of storing information about projects, and designed hardware and software architectures using the Blackfin processor and Linux operating system. From 2011-2021, they worked at Innodelec as Co-founder, Project Manager, and R&D Engineer Hard+Soft, where they co-managed the company, negotiated with clients, and hired. Jean-Christian also designed, validated, debugged, and consulted on hardware and software. Currently, they are a Software Architect Engineer at AMF Medical SA.

Jean-Christian de Rivaz began their educational career in 1987, when they enrolled in the Electronic Apprentice program at Alusuisse, where they earned their CFC in Measure Technic in 1991. Jean-Christian then attended HEVS from 1994-1996, earning an ETS Engineer in Electronic and Software.
