Amrita Das

Amrita Das is a seasoned Sr. Principal Scientist and team lead specializing in preclinical cardiometabolic indications, boasting over 15 years of hands-on in-vitro and in-vivo research experience across multiple disease areas. At Amgen, they have successfully contributed to projects involving Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease and Polycystic Kidney Disease while optimizing efforts in screening candidate compounds. Previously, Amrita held leadership roles as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, where they unveiled mechanisms related to kidney development and disease. They earned a PhD in Molecular Biology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign following an M.S. from the University of Calcutta.
