Troy Briggs

Troy Briggs is an experienced engineering professional with a strong background in process engineering and project management in the biotechnology sector. Currently serving as Principal Engineer at Amgen since April 2019, Troy functions as the drug substance supply technical project manager and engineering technical lead, overseeing a $20M capacity expansion project for multi-product commercial and clinical drug substance manufacturing facilities. Prior experience at Takeda included roles as Principal Process Engineer, leading the process engineering efforts for Hemofil-M NF manufacturing operations, and as a Senior Process Engineer responsible for the start-up and qualification of downstream purification equipment. Troy's technical expertise encompasses chromatography and nanofiltration, gained through significant roles in major pharmaceutical firms, and includes foundational experience from earlier positions at Amgen and as part of the core team for a $450M plasma processing facility. Troy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from UC Irvine, completed in 2010.
