Yanina Barrera

Yanina Barrera is an experienced sustainability professional with a strong background in environmental science and engineering. At Amgen, from March 2020 to December 2021, Yanina served as a Senior Manager/Principal, overseeing team management, cross-functional programs, and the company’s climate strategy, achieving SBTi approval for targets. Prior experience includes a role as Sustainability Manager at Amgen and a postdoctoral researcher at Harvard University, focusing on greenhouse gas emission estimation and air pollution tracking. Yanina holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Science and Engineering from Harvard University and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from UC Irvine. Previous consulting roles included positions at ERM and Ramboll Management Consulting, along with research experience at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
