Lampros Panagis currently serves as the Director of the Amherst Biology Imaging Center at Amherst College since October 2022. Prior to this role, Lampros worked as the Lead Microscopy Imaging Scientist at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc. from June 2018 to October 2022. Earlier experience includes a position as a Product Support Specialist at Carl Zeiss Microscopy, where responsibilities encompassed providing support for microscopes and developing custom image analysis applications. Lampros has also conducted research on glaucoma during postdoctoral appointments at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, SUNY Downstate Medical Center, and Mount Sinai Medical Center. Academic qualifications include a PhD and MSc in Biology, as well as a BSc from the University of Crete, complemented by training as an Electronics Technician from the Hellenic Navy School of Electronics.
