Maria Vega currently serves as the Director of Student Athlete Development at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and as a Program Facilitator with RISE, a nonprofit focused on social justice and racial equality in sports. Previous roles include Lecturer and Undergraduate Program Coordinator at St. Thomas University's Institute for Ethical Leadership, and various positions in athletic coaching, including a soccer coach and U.S. Soccer Federation referee. Maria's experience also includes internships with CONCACAF and Eberjey, along with a background in sales and management at Sherwin-Williams. Maria holds a Master of Arts in Ethical Leadership and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Business Management, both from St. Thomas University, and has demonstrated leadership as Captain of both collegiate and high school soccer teams.
