Matthew Farrell

Matthew Farrell has a diverse work experience in the culinary industry. Matthew currently serves as the Vice President of Culinary Innovation and Development at AMI Group since May 2023. Previously, they worked as the Vice President of Culinary Innovation at Dessert Holdings from January 2021 to May 2023. Matthew held various roles at gategroup, including Area Executive Chef - USA from October 2020 to January 2021 and Customer Dedicated Executive Chef - American Airlines from January 2017 to October 2020. Matthew also worked at Gate Gourmet as an Executive Chef, Executive Chef Menu Design - Innovation and Culinary Excellence, and International Account Manager from 2013 to 2017. Moreover, they have experience as a Private Chef at Kitchit from January 2013 to August 2015 and Chef de Cuisine at Gourmet Gorilla, Inc. from May 2012 to February 2013. Matthew began their career as a Chef De Partie at The Inn at Little Washington from May 2010 to February 2012 and served as a Pastry Chef and Resident Assistant at The Culinary Institute of America from September 2009 to March 2010. Matthew also worked as a Pastry Chef at Cakes on Walnut from September 2008 to July 2009 and as a Level 2 Intern at Wildfire in Lettuce Entertain You from May 2006 to August 2008.

Matthew Farrell attended the Culinary Institute of America from 2009 to 2010, graduating with a degree in Culinary Arts/Chef Training from the Accelerated Culinary Arts Program. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, completing their studies in Food Science and Human Nutrition, Hospitality Management, and Business from 2005 to 2009.
