David Clark

Chief People Officer at Amicus Therapeutics

David Clark is the current Chief People Officer at Amicus Therapeutics. Prior to joining Amicus, David served as Vice President of Global Human Resources at Alibaba Group from September 2016 to September 2018. In this role, David was responsible for the HR function for Alibaba's international business unit and also served as Head of International Organizational Development and Culture.

From August 2008 to August 2016, David was with American Express, where they served as Senior Vice President and Chief Learning Officer. In this role, David led a team responsible for global talent development, including learning, leadership development, performance management, onboarding and change management.

Prior to American Express, David served as Deputy Assistant to the President of the United States in the Office of Presidential Personnel from November 2004 to August 2008. In this role, David was responsible for the 4,000 political appointees in the U.S. government.

Before joining the White House, David served as Chief of Staff and Director of Government Affairs at the National Transportation Safety Board from March 2003 to November 2004. Prior to that, David was an Executive Assistant at the US Department of Transportation from January 2002 to March 2003.

David Clark graduated from Indiana State University with a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government.

David Clark reports to John Crowley, Chairman & CEO. They are on a team with Ellen S. Rosenberg - Chief Legal Officer, Daphne Quimi - Chief Financial Officer, and Julie Yu - Chief Program Officer.
